Angela Mariko Tsai, MS, RDN, CD

Hi, I’m Angie—a Health at Every Size® (HAES®)-aligned and eating disorders-informed Registered Dietitian, providing outpatient nutrition counseling since 2013. I specialize in diabetes, prediabetes, weight concerns, and inclusive care for both adults and children, with a focus on compassionate, evidence-based support.
I grew up between Japan and the U.S., and later in life, I began making regular visits to Taiwan, experiences that shaped my further deepened my appreciation for diverse food cultures and the ways they shape our relationship with eating. These experiences have given me a personal understanding of how food connects generations, preserves identity, and fosters community.
My professional experience includes working with veterans at the Department of Veterans Affairs and immigrant populations at Community Health Centers, where I’ve seen firsthand the impact of culturally sensitive nutrition support. I hold a Bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from the University of Washington and a Master of Science in Nutrition from Bastyr University—a combination that helps me bridge the gap between cultural understanding and clinical care.
My approach is holistic and client-centered. I believe in creating a supportive, judgment-free space where clients can feel empowered, heard, and respected. Whether you’re navigating chronic conditions, exploring your relationship with food, or adapting nutrition to your cultural traditions, I’m here to walk alongside you every step of the way.
